What keeps you at Harvey Nash?

From the day I started I have felt that my team have accepted me, and I am made to feel valued. My manager asked me to organise the team for the Humber Hackathon event we took part in and it was areal honour to be trusted in my first few weeks with the company to take this team forward

What makes Harvey Nash different to other employers?

Having worked for a few other companies, I know how important it is to have the authority to do your role. I am empowered to make decisions in order to do my job and feel supported by the company and the people around me. The company and my team value my background and want to learn from my experiences as I want to learn from theirs.

I feel that Harvey Nash are always striving to get better based on feedback received, both from our client base and from employees. We receive interesting weekly communications from our CEO Bev White which includes more than just how we are doing as a business, we are invited to engage and learn from each day and what this brings and to continue to challenge the norm and I love this!

What’s the best thing we’ve done for you?

Employed me! I am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to take on this role, I absolutely love my job and it feels like I have found the right fit for where I have come from with lots of room to grow.

How would you describe the Harvey Nash Culture?

There is a real team spirit within Harvey Nash and Nashtech. We are encouraged to support each other and share experiences and I think that this is the only way you can really understand who you are working with. We need to understand each other in order to have empathy for each other and our individual needs. I haven’t made it into an office to meet people face to face yet and think that this will only enhance my experience so far. The use of Teams is brilliant, and it is so easy to collaborate.

I work with the Vietnam teams quite a lot and I am looking forward to being able to learn more about their culture too.

What’s your biggest achievement here to date?

My biggest achievement so far is being asked to be involved in the Humber Hackathon event. I helped bring the team together and ensured that we were all on the same page throughout the event. We won the competition also which was a great feeling. Since winning the event I have been asked by our sales team on several occasions to demo what we created to potential customers!
